Welcome to Hampshire School of Jewellery; we have made a number of changes to the studio in recent months; please see our full update on the FAQ’s page here

Classes are now limited to a maximum of 6 people in each session; to allow for social distancing and individual tool kits have been provided for each work bench.

If you are booked onto a class but start to develop signs of the virus please DO NOT attend your session; let us know as soon as you are able to and we will work with you to reschedule to another time.

Should you develop symptoms after your class please advise us so we can take the necessary steps with advising any one else you may have been in contact with.

Thank you for your ongoing support over the past few months.

Upon completion of the beginners 10 week course if you would like to continue jewellery making with us you would move up to the level one Intermediate level course. Beyond this you can stay as long as you like; we have students who have been with us for years!  On the intermediate-advanced level courses we look at developing the basic skills previously learnt and begin to look at stone settings, advanced soldering techniques, making lockets and lots more! You can see a range of previous work in our gallery pages.

Silver art clay is a fantastic way to begin jewellery making.  On the Beginners Silver Art Clay course we look at all the skills you will need to make jewellery at home (if you wish to!) this includes texturing, cutting, sanding and filing the clay. This material gives you the flexibility to create all kinds of designs and you can see the variety of work previously created in the gallery pages.

If you would like to develop your skills further from the Beginners Silver Art Clay course we run follow up courses covering stone setting and using the syringe clay in the clay.  The  Intermediate Silver Art Clay course is a great way to re cap on the previous skills you learnt and to develop them further.  Take a look at some of the pieces previously made on this course on our gallery pages.
