We wanted to put together a collection of Frequently Asked Questions to try and answer as many queries as possible. However please don’t hesitate to get in touch if the answer to your question isn’t here!
Q- Where are you based and how can I get to you?
A- Our studio is based in Basingstoke on The Hassocks Wood Business Centre. We are 5 minutes from the town centre and junction 6 of the M3.
Q- Do you do hen do’s and birthday parties?
A- Yes absolutely, we would love to help you celebrate a special occasion. Please get in touch to discuss availability. We can accommodate up to 10 people in our Basingstoke studio.
Q- How do I book a place on a course?
A- You can book all classes except the 10 week courses directly on the website.
Please bear in mind as all class sizes are limited we can not confirm your booking until we receive a deposit/payment.
For the 10 week courses please send us a message using the contact form below to discuss availability.
Q- What happens if we cancel a class/course?
A- Its very rare that we have to cancel or rearrange bookings but on the occasions where one off classes or longer courses are not viable to run or your tutor is unwell we will contact you with as much notice as possible to rearrange your booking to another time.
We reserve the right to cancel or amend sessions and will give as much notice as we can for any changes.
Q- Do you have any age restrictions?
A- Classes are suitable for anyone over 16; for ages 14-16 they will need to be accompanied by an adult who is also booked into the class. Please contact us to discuss the suitability of classes for under 14’s prior to booking.
Q- How much deposit do you require?
A- For the ten week courses we ask for a £50 deposit to confirm your booking with the balance due a week before the course begins. For all other courses and bookings we ask for full payment at the point of booking.
Q- I will be away for some of the 10 week course; can I make up the time?
A- Where possible we will try to allow you to make up time missed in a class but can not guarantee it if other sessions are fully booked.
Please give us as much notice as possible and if we have availability will offer an alternative class within that term.
Note- sessions can not be carried over to the next term.
Q- I have missed a week due to being sick; can I make up the time?
A- Where possible we will always try to allow you to make up time missed in a class but can not guarantee it if other sessions are fully booked.
Q- I have booked a place on a course but plans have changed and I now can’t make it, can I transfer the booking?
A- Please get in touch with us to discuss. Cancellations within 3 weeks of a class can only be changed if we can rebook your space; you will then have 6 months to rebook your class.
Q- How many people are in each class?
A- Between 6 and 10 depending on the venue and class.
Q- Can I do a class if I am pregnant?
A- Yes absolutely! At the start of a course or day class we will run through some general health and safety rules for the workshop.
If there is anything you don’t feel comfortable with please just let us know.
Q- I have never made any jewellery before and don’t think I am very creative is this for me?
A- Please take a look at our beginners courses; you will receive lots of support and advice and we always have lots of examples to show you what can be done to get you started.
Q- Do you sell gift vouchers?
A- Yes we do and they can be purchased on the website here
Please be aware that we can only accept them for bookings made directly though us for bookings made through our website.
