Make a Stone set Ring Workshop – Various Dates

Make your own gemstone set silver ring in this hands-on jewellery making workshop. In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn introductory stone setting techniques alongside essential silversmithing skills such as soldering and texturing silver. With step-by-step guidance throughout, this silver ring making class is suitable for beginners and those with some jewellery-making experience. Leave wearing a unique handmade stone set ring.

If you have previously taken our silver stacking ring class; this ring could be added to and worn with your set.  Or if you have taken our gem set pendant class you could make a ring to match; or of course, choose a completely different gemstone!

When booking please choose your gemstone from Amethyst, Aquamarine, Garnet, Amazonite, Kyanite or Rose Quartz.  Please note- If your chosen gem isn’t available we will source something similar for you.

The class takes place at our Basingstoke studio and is taught by Laura, who has over 15 years’ experience teaching jewellery making.

What’s included:

• Use of all tools and equipment in the studio

• The gemstone for your ring

• Consumables such as solder

• Expert guidance throughout the workshop

Materials:
Silver is charged per usage on the day. You’ll be able to choose your design from a selection of examples.

Timing:

• Please allow up to 3 hours to complete your stone set ring.

Cost:

• £65 for the workshop (includes tools, tuition, gemstone and consumables)

• Silver charged separately per usage on the day. Estimated costs for silver £10 – £15**.

Age Restrictions

Classes are suitable for anyone over 16; for ages 14-16 they will need to be accompanied by an adult who is also booked into the class.  Please contact us to discuss the suitability of classes for under 14’s prior to booking
